Ex- Secretary to the Govt Ali Hamsa dies

SHAH ALAM - Former Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa has died at the Dublin Hospital in Ireland, today.

His passing was confirmed by incumbent Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali, in a statement.

In the statement, Mohd Zuki Ali expressed his condolences to Ali's family members on behalf of the civil services department.

"His passing in this holy month of Ramadhan is a huge loss to the country and the civil service.

"May Allah SWT bless his soul and place him amongst the righteous,” he said.

Ali served as chief secretary from June 2012 to August 2018.
