SHAH ALAM - Malaysian content creator Mohamad Sofian Abdullah, 26, was fortunate enough to have Hollywood heavyweight Ryan Reynolds to star in one of his computer-generated imagery (CGI) videos.
Muhamad Sofian, better known by his username Sofyank96, has established himself as a great content creator, with over 800,000 Instagram followers and 500,000 Youtube subscribers, currently.
His videos with visual effects (VFX) and CGI have racked up millions of views and even garnered over 59 million views on Youtube alone.
Recently, he convinced Reynolds to act opposite him in one of these videos during a press junket when the actor was promoting his new Netflix movie released, The Adam Project.
The 54-second video which was retweeted by Reynolds has since garnered 1.3 million views.
In the original video post, Sofian thank Reynolds and Netflix Malaysia for the opportunity to collaborate on the project.
Sofian also allowed viewers to watch behind-the-scenes footage and revealed that the scenes with Reynolds were shot using Zoom and that the project is part of Reynold's new film.
After filming Ryan's scenes with Zoom, Sofian used a green screen to shoot his own part before working on the final video for over a month prior to releasing it.
The video featured a starship similar to that seen from The Adam Project, which Sofian displays by activating a necklace, just like in the film.
Despite the fact that Reynold and Sofian were filming in separate places, Sofian was able to make it appear as if they were in the same room.
Apart from Ryan Reynolds, Sofian has also collaborated with John Cena and Will Smith.
Sofian previously has shared that he draws inspiration from his VFX idol, Zach King and both men had met personally back in 2019 in Indonesia.
