In a Facebook post, PKR incumbent secretary-general Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail had congratulated Anwar as the nomination for all top party post had officially closed last night.

"Repeating the 2018 party election's history, Anwar once again won uncontested in this election. This is the biggest honor from the Keadilan grassroots.

"I respectfully congratulate Anwar Ibrahim,'' he said in his brief post.

In this party elections, nominations began yesterday (April 11) until Sunday (April 19) involving all PKR divisions nationwide.

It will be held at the PKR headquarters in Petaling Jaya except in Sabah and Sarawak where candidates will carry out the nomination process in their respective states.

Over 8,000 applications for nominations for 2022 PKR party elections nominations have been submitted for branch level nationwide as of yesterday, PKR Election Committee (JPP) chairman Dr Zaliha Mustafa said.

She said the nominations, which began last Friday and ended today, went smoothly and were conducted online using the ADIL App.

Among the highlights are the number two post with Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution and PKR Vice President Rafizi Ramli gunning for the deputy president post.

Tian Chua will not be contesting for the vice president's post.

For the four vice-president's posts, among the names expected to contest are Kapar MP Datuk Abdullah Sani Abdul Hamid, chief organising secretary Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, Women's chief Fuziah Salleh and Information chief Fahmi Fadzil.
