SHAH ALAM - The contest for PKR's central leadership council heats up today with six top party posts, namely the president, deputy president and four vice-presidents, including for youth and Wanita posts to be held today.
The nomination will be held at the PKR Headquarters in Petaling Jaya except in Sabah and Sarawak where candidates will carry out the nomination process in their respective states.
Among the highlights are for the number 2 post with Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution and PKR Vice President, Rafizi Ramli gunning for the deputy president post.
Tian Chua will not be contesting for the vice president's post.
For the four vice-president's posts, among the names expected to contest are Kapar MP Datuk Abdullah Sani Abdul Hamid, chief organising secretary Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, Women's chief Fuziah Salleh and Information chief Fahmi Fadzil.
Student activist Adam Adli has also confirmed contesting the youth chief's seat.
Meanwhile, the former Selangor Youth chief, Najwan Halimi will contest for the central leadership council.
The list of candidates will be displayed on the ADIL Apps and the party website for two days on April 13 and 14.
However, the nomination process for 20 Central Leadership Council seats in the PKR party election which was initially scheduled for April 11, has been postponed to May 28, the postponement icludes the nomination for 20 seats in the party's youth posts and 20 seats in the Women Council.
