SHAH ALAM - The Health Ministry recorded 19,105 new positive cases including 386 imported cases in the last 24 hours.
The positive case tally recorded yesterday shows cases dipped below the 20,000 mark since February.
The last daily case to register below the 20,000 mark was on Feb 15, when 19,108 cases were detected.
The country also recorded another 71 fatalities related to Covid-19, including 26 brought-in-dead (BID) cases.
This brings the cumulative death toll from the pandemic to 34,400 people, including 7,225 BID cases.
Currently, there are 274,059 active cases, a reduction of some 9,216 cases compared to yesterday's active cases
Of that total active cases, 7,080 people are hospitalised with 371 currently being treated in intensive care units.
Out of the number, 203 cases requires ventilator support.
There were also 28,250 recovery cases recorded yesterday, slightly lower compared to 33,347 recorded the previous day.
To date, Malaysia has recorded 3,961,111 Covid-19 cases since the pandemic began.
