Shah Alam - Some RM100 million is needed to repair 48 slopes out of 118 slopes under the supervision of the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) which has been categorized as highly critical.
State Local Government, Public Transport and New Village Development Committee chairperson Ng Sze Han said, the actual cost of repairing the high-risk slopes depends on further studies by the Malaysian Public Works Institute (Ikram).
"The local authority is requesting cooperation from Ikram to carry out studies and repair of slopes in the area.
MPAJ had also appointed an expert panel of contractors to maintain high-risk slopes and conduct prevention works.
