JOHOR BAHRU - Warisan will restructure its strategy in preparation for the 15th General Election (GE15), according to its president, Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal.
He said that the results of the Johor state election were not as expected, but now was not the time to give up.
"I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the Barisan Nasional (BN) on their victory in the Johor state election. Most importantly, I thank everyone who campaigned tirelessly for Warisan.
"Sincerely, I really appreciate all your hard work and continued efforts. I would also like to thank the people of Johor for accepting our presence in the state,” he said in a statement today.
In the just-concluded Johor polls, BN won 40 of the 56 state seats, leaving Perikatan Nasional (PN) with just three seats, Pakatan Harapan (11), and PKR and the Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (MUDA) one seat each.
Warisan was contesting in the Mahkota, Bekok, Pekan Nanas, Permas, Johor Jaya and Bukit Batu state seats. - BERNAMA
