Vogue magazine reincludes "Palestine" into social media post on Gigi Hadid amid backlash

Vogue magazine was on the receiving end of criticism recently for removing the word "Palestine" out of a social media post covering Gigi Hadid's pledge to donate money towards relief efforts in Ukraine and Palestine.

Hadid stated in her Instagram post recently: "I am pledging to donate my earnings from the Fall 2022 shows to aid those suffering from the war in Ukraine, as well as continuing to support those experiencing the same in Palestine,” she concluded her post with the message, "HANDS OFF UKRAINE. HANDS OFF PALESTINE. PEACE. PEACE. PEACE.”

Apparently, Vogue's original reporting on social media had included Hadid full statement, however fans noticed that the supermodel's references to Palestine was later removed.

Vogue wrote on their Instagram: "Gigi Hadid announced that she will be donating all of her fashion month earnings towards relief efforts in Ukraine."

This drew backlash from social media users who flooded Vogue's comment section, expressing their anger.

Despite the outrage, Vogue did not explain its decision to remove the word Palestine from its coverage.

However, recent checks on Vogue's Instagram page found that the caption has been edited again (approximately 10 hours ago) and now includes Gigi's references to Palestine.
