SHAH ALAM: Selangor PKR has urged its leadership to stop cooperation with Muda immediately.

State information chief Halimey Abu Bakar said Muda has failed to respect PKR and PH after placing a candidate in Larkin state seat.

"Muda knows it will split votes, which is an advantage to BN," he said in a statement published in Sinar Harian.

He also urged PH and PKR machinery to double up efforts to ensure voters do not allow corrupt leaders to govern the state.

Yesterday, it was reported that opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim expressed disappointment with the clash of candidates from PKR and Muda contesting the Larkin state seat in Johor.

PKR's Dr Zamil Najwah Arbain faces five others in Larkin. They are Rashid Abu Bakar (Muda), Zulkifli Bujang (PN), Mohd Hairi Mad Shah (BN), Riadz Mohamad (Pejuang) and Norramadan Buan (Independent).

Nomination was held on Feb 26 and voting is on March 12.
