MERSING - Amanah's youngest Johor candidate arrives in full wedding attire at the Endau state assembly nomination centre.
The Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate Mohamad Fakrulradzi Mahmud arrived at 8.38am dressed in a traditional maroon songket outfit equipped with the tengkolok (traditional Malay headgear) today.
It has been understood that the nomination date set by the Election Commission(EC) for the Johor state election coincides with his wedding reception, which thankfully, was held nearby.
Fakrulradzi, who is the youngest candidate from Amanah, was accompanied by his father Mahmud Mat Isa, 85.
He was also seen accompanied by two people, believed to be a proposer and supporter for the nomination process.
Meanwhile, Barisan Nasional's Mohd Youzaimi Md Yusof was the first to arrive at the centre at 8.05am, followed by Mohd Noorhisyam Ibrahim (Pejuang); the incumbent Alwiyah Talib from PN and an independent candidate.
The Endau seat is set to see a five-cornered fight.
The EC on Thursday informed that no group activities and marches were allowed at the centre during the nomination process for the candidates.
Its secretary Datuk Ikmalrudin Ishak said only candidates, candidate proposers and candidate supporters were allowed to enter the centre to ensure that all candidates and political parties comply with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
In the last 14th General Election (GE14), Alwiyah, who contested under the Barisan Nasional ticket, managed to win the seat with a majority of 3,080 before joining Bersatu two days after the election was held.
