SHAH ALAM - Permatang Pauh MP Nurul Izzah Anwar has been tested positive for Covid-19 after doing the Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) test.
She, who experienced mild symptoms, is now quarantined at home.
"I have received my PCR test report and it showed that I was positive for Covid-19.
"Since we have been conducting self-quarantine since Feb 6, we will continue the home surveillance order and do our best to protect Safiyah (her daughter) from being infected.
"Despite the common symptoms (fatigue, runny nose, muscle and nerve pain), alhamdulillah we are in good condition," she said through a posting on social media platforms on Feb 10.
She said Covid-19 was not an easy situation to go through although it was not as bad as dengue fever.
Thefore, she added that it was important for everyone to be protected via vaccination.
"Thankfully, we have completed the vaccination doses - I hope we will be protected against the virus, insyaAllah.
"We have been updating our daily status on MySejahtera application - including watching videos of breathing exercises and proper use of an oximeter,” she said, advising people to practice blowing a balloon four times a day to strengthen the lung muscles.
