SHAH ALAM - Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah is currently warded at the National Health Institute (IJN) for a follow-up treatment.
In a statement issued by the Comptroller of Royal Household Datuk Indera Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin today, he stated that the Agong is will undergo a health check and follow-up treatment at the Royal Ward in IJN, for intervention treatment on his ankle and knees previously done on Sept 24, 2020.
The previously intervention treatment was made based on an MRI scan that found injuries in the aforementioned areas after the King was involved in a sporting activity.
"His majesty is in good health in general and not in any worrying state. His Majesty is scheduled to be discharged and return to the Royal Palace soonest after completing the follow-up treatment,'' said Ahmad Fadil, urging fellow Malaysians to pray for the Agong's good health.
Ahmad Fadil also stated that the Agong have consented to be warded at IJN, starting Saturday (Jan 22).
