KUALA LUMPUR - Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) highlighted six main pillars as the main drive to generate the revival of Malaysia.
Its secretary-general, Nor Hizwan Ahmad said, it involves the development of the economy, youth, women, education, science and technology as well as the multiracial aspect of the country.
However, he said, if corruption is not combated holistically, Malaysia will not be able to evolve into a developed country that is respected by the global community.
"We believe that to get rid of corruption, it should be implemented through the national education system starting at the primary school level.
"The students need to be taught to hate corruption and practice the highest principles of integrity so that they could recognize corrupt activities and not engage with it,” he said in a statement yesterday.
However, Hizwan said if anti-corruption education could not be implemented formally, certain segments on the matter could be taught in other subjects such as Islamic studies and moral education.
Hizwan also expresses PBM's appreciation of efforts from non-governmental organizations such as Rasuah Busters and any other anti-corruption agencies which are committed to combating corruption and abuse of power in Malaysia.
"To combat corruption, we need to come together to establish Malaysia as a country with high integrity and respected by people all over the world.
