The country may have witnessed a retail footfall as it was heavily affected by the pandemic but some businesses continue to thrive and rise above adversity.
Homegrown concept baby store Happikiddo kickstarted 2022 with the launch of its newly expanded store in Publika Shopping Gallery.
The spacious store offers a range of products fit for modern day parenting such as educational toys, feeding essentials, travel gear, books, baby food and more.
The space boasts a floor space of 4000 square feet, more than double the size of its two original pioneer outlets combined.
The launch was also attended by Yang di-Pertuan Agong’s eldest princesss YAM Tengku Puteri raja Tengku Puteri Iman Afzan Al-Sultan Abdullah and celebrity Noor Neelofa.
With the rollout of the vaccination and ease of travel restrictions, it seems that shoppers are steadily returning to normal shopping habits.
Founder and chief executive officer of Happikido, Elaine Chew said: "The relaxation on restrictions and confidence on vaccination has really meant that many people are out shopping, across our stores.”
Publika was home to Happikiddo’s first store where it started from a small 500 square feet space back in 2012.
"It has always been my wish to expand our pioneer store and I’m proud that our vision became a reality today.
"Our first baby has grown bigger, to serve our customers better - all within this same unique neighbourhood where we first started,” said Elaine.
The new Happikiddo store is located on Level G3 of Publika.
